Now for something completely different. I stumbled across Maze Generation: Algorithm Recap about programs that generate mazes, complete with live maze generation, starting from a grid. Some algorithms are more interesting to watch than are others. A couple do all the work behind scenes, then reveal the maze row-by-row. They may be good mazes, but they are not interesting to watch. Others show their work, and the maze grows as it goes.
Very nerdy, but it's Friday, and you may want a break from grading finals.
Hat tip to Andrew Gelman.
