It's been a month since the AALS hosted its annual Faculty Recruitment Conference in mid-October.
By now, common courtesy would dictate that hiring committees should have been in touch with candidates, providing them with an update on the hiring process. So which schools have failed to do so? We'll put them on our "naughty" list and forward it to Santa.
Some "naughty" schools:
LSU, Georgia State, Suffolk.

I will say that, thanks to the dings being reported on Prawfsblawg, several of the schools listed on this thread (e.g., Miami, Golden Gate, Indianapolis) have given both callbacks and dings, so if you haven't heard from them, you can at least infer some sort of B team status.

I agree that PL Blog is a great source for ding information. However, I think schools are still naughty for not contacting people and expecting them to find that info from blogs (especially since many people stay away from those blogs for their own sanity). I shelled out around $1000 for AALS (conference fee, plane, hotel, fabulous haircut, etc.), the least a school could do is to send me an email.
