Recently I was asked, "If you could fix one thing about the American judicial system, what would it be?"
My reply?
"I would make all my dissents into majority opinions."

Charles Evans Hughes. His view on the role of the dissent comes closest to the statement above. Or Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she has frequently referenced Hughes' view.
