Here in Chapel Hill, people are talking about moving "Silent Sam," a monument put up in the early twenthieth century to UNC alumni who fought (for the South) during the Civil War. I hope they're reading "The Law and Morality of Building Renaming," (or perhaps this essay on why we shouldn't rename Ruffin Hall) but I'm thinking they're not.
