Last summer the Washington Post covered Terry Meyers' discovery of what may be the oldest surviving school house for African American children in North America -- now it brings us news that archeologists may have uncovered eighteenth-century slave quarters on the William and Mary campus.
And, of course, I'm always up for talking about Thomas R. Dew, one of W&M's antebellum presidents, and an important historian as well as proslavery theorist.
