As it has become my tradition to use this blog as a therapy center to share my "law school anxiety dreams," here's my anxiety state about starting the new semester. Last night I dreamt about my first class in the new semester. The classrooms had been reconfigured over the summer so that it was impossible to see the entire class from any point at the front of the room. You could either see only the left side of the room or only the right side of the room, but not both. Additionally, I was using a new casebook that didn't seem to bear any relationship to the subject matter I was teaching. In fact, it didn't seem to have much law in it at all although there were some glossy pictures of travel destinations I would like to experience - and definitely will not be experiencing during the fall semester. At the end of the dream I remember thinking ruefully that I should have just prescribed my own casebook...
