From an email message that I received yesterday:
LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for two positions from either lateral candidates with a proven track record of scholarship or entry-level candidates with strong scholarly potential. Depending on the qualifications of the candidate, the appointments may be on either a tenured or tenure-track basis. With the goal of expanding our growing community of scholars, these appointments will build upon the substantial lateral hiring Loyola School of Law has successfully undertaken in the last several years, with the support of the University. We are flexible about teaching interests as our curricular areas of interest include Criminal Law, Evidence, Torts, Property, Civil Procedure and Commercial Law. Loyola University Chicago is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer with a strong commitment to hiring for our mission and diversifying our faculty. As a Jesuit Catholic institution of higher education, we seek candidates who will contribute to our strategic plan to deliver a Transformative Education in the Jesuit tradition. Candidates are encouraged to consult our website to gain a clearer understanding of Loyola's mission at http://www.luc.edu/mission/missionandidentity.shtml and our focus on transformative education at http://www.luc.edu/transformativeed/. Applications from women and minority candidates are especially encouraged. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae (writing samples and references are not necessary at this time). Contact: [email protected] or Professor John M. Breen, Chair, Committee on Faculty Appointments, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, 25 East Pearson Street, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
