It's that time of year again. Prospective law professors pay the AALS some money, and the AALS circulates their bios to 200-plus law schools. But for most people interested in law teaching, that simple process won't be enough to score a job. It's worth finding extra help in strategizing the law professor hiring process. For some people, it's as simple as calling classmates from Yale. But not everyone is so lucky. The folks at ASU Law are again hosting a great conference for folks angling to enter law teaching. They've found ways to make the conference useful for those hitting the Marriott this fall, those planning to go on the market next year, and even people hoping to make the leap further into the future.
I had a great time giving the keynote speech last year and I was impressed by both the conference faculty and the one-on-one attention given participants. This time around they've nabbed Eugene Volokh as their featured speaker. If you're an aspiring law professor, it's worth a trip!
Dan--do you have a podcast of your speech last year, I'd like to hear what you said.
