Professor Robin Magee of Hamline University School of Law has filed suit against its dean, Donald Lewis, as well as her local police chief. She is claiming that Dean Lewis and the St. Paul, MN police chief colluded to have her fired. She alleges that she's been targeted because she is critical of the police.
Magee hasn't taught at the law school since 2009 - she was suspended at that time under charges that she'd failed to pay state taxes. She was convicted of misdemeanors and is currently appealing. Find more details at the National Law Journal and TaxProf.
