Frank Elkouri, who joined the Oklahoma University law faculty in 1952, and taught until 1985, has donated $6 million to OU Law. The money will be used to fund scholarships. Elkouri graduated from the law school in 1947. His wife Edna graduated from GW Law - which would presumably have liked a piece of this gift. Elkouri is an expert in labor arbitration.
Professor Elkouri is in the middle in this photo from the January 1947 issue of Sooner Magazine. He was, at that time, his law school class president.
From 1985 until last year, Frank continued to be a major presence at the University of Oklahoma, coming to work nearly every day to work on his scholarship.
