Freakonomics has a recent (12/29) interesting podcast on repugnant transactions. Though most of the show is dedicated to organ markets and its alternatives, other repugnant transactions, including prostitution and egg markets are also briefly discussed.
Al Roth – dubbed “The Godfather of Repugnance” by Dubner -- is interviewed in some depth. We’ve blogged frequently about repugnant transactions (and, specifically, about Roth and his work) here at the Lounge. The posts on “repugnant transactions” or “taboo trades” are collected here. And posts specifically about reproductive markets are collected here.
