This sounds ridiculous. I wonder what a future torts casebook will write about this verdict? Maybe put it right next to the ridiculous damages for the hot cup of McDonalds coffee?


You mean the McDonalds case where an elderly woman received third-degree burns from spilling a cup of coffee on herself, because the coffee was at the standard McDonalds temperature?

Or were you thinking of some other McDonalds coffee-related tort suit?
