Following up on my scatterplots post yesterday, I thought that I'd post a larger (and easier to see) plot of the Sisk/Leiter weighted scores against the US News' peer assessment scores. And one with both the straight and the polynomial lines drawn on the plot.
You may want to click on the image at right to pull up a slightly larger version -- or here for a pdf, which is a little easier to see. The red line illustrates the straight-line plot; the green line is a polynomial fit to the curved data. One thing that I increasingly think about when I look at the data is how a small number of schools have really terrific performance.
