It's my pleasure to mention that George Brown (a sometimes guest here!) is the interim dean at Boston College Law School. From the press release:
The selection was praised by University Provost and Dean of Faculties Cutberto Garza, who described Brown as a renowned scholar and dedicated teacher whose long-term commitment to Boston College and the Law School has been evident in his service to and engagement with the University. “George Brown is well respected for his wisdom and sense by his peers among the Law School and across the BC campus,” said Garza. “I am grateful to him for his willingness to take on this important role, and I am confident that the Law School will continue its record of academic strength under his leadership.”
"This is a challenging time for legal education, both for those who teach and those who come to study," said Brown. "Teachers have to adapt to a rapidly changing legal environment and to the needs of the American legal profession, and students are obviously challenged by a difficult job market. I look forward to working with my colleagues to do everything we can to meet those challenges."
