The Conglomerate is holding a masters forum, starting today, on the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, expected to be signed into law by President Obama this week. The Forum will feature commentary from several guest posters, including yours truly. Erik Gerding has already gotten the ball rolling, with a new New Deal?, reforming Congress, and how many regulators does it take to screw in a reform?
I’ll cross-post my entry here, but of course you should head over to the Glom periodically over the next few days to read all the activity. In the meantime, you can get up to speed with this comprehensive Davis Polk Client Memorandum summarizing the Dodd-Frank Act (in only 130 pages!), these posts at the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, this round-up of initial takes by Frank Pasquale, this short summary and reaction from Steven Davidoff at the Deal Professor, and the exchange between Becker and Posner.
