OK - so I'm admitting upfront that I'm looking for distractions from grading (aren't we all?). But is it just me or is there a dearth of sci-fi flicks coming out in the summer? Usually I console myself while grading by promising a trip or two to the movies over the summer. This year, there's no Star Trek films, no Star Wars films (which is probably a blessing!). But what else is there?
I know Iron Man 2 is out this weekend - probably my Mother's Day treat this year. And of course Twilight: Eclipse (if you count it as sci-fi). And I've grumbled before about having to wait until December for Tron: Legacy. But what am I missing? I scoured the NY Times summer releases section over the weekend and saw many "good" films (and I'm sure I'll see a few of those), but I still need my sci fi fix...
Probably the movie I am looking most forward to this summer is Christopher Nolan's Inception (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/). After that, there is the Adrien Brody doubleheader of Splice (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1017460/) (looks pretty interesting) and Predators (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1424381/) (not so much).

Not to be snotty, but this is one of my shakespeare pet peeves: "wherefore" means "why?" not "where". Juliet is asking "why are you from that other family I'm supposed to hate?" not "where you at, dude?"

You're quite right about that of course. And I should know better because I did my dissertation on Shakespearean drama (although not Romeo and Juliet in particular).
