Update 3/15/2011: Believe it or not, the 2012 rankings are out. More here.
Yup. Like the Grateful Dead shows of yore, the annual US News law school ranking bootlegs have just been posted. Once again, law school admissions staff take that deep breath and figure out whether they'll have the wind in their face or at their back. There will be a few schools that take one in stomach while others - sometimes, quite unexpectedly - watch their yield rate spike.
It's not that the US News rankings are utterly erroneous; if you were a martian landing on earth, trying to choose between Duke Law and Miskatonic Law, they'd provide very helpful guidance. On the question of whether to attend Columbia versus NYU, however, they shed somewhat less light. But OK. I've done the dance, acted like I'm seriously considering these things, yada yada yada. You know you just want the link to the rankings, right?
It's here.
BTW, Brooklyn's "new" part-time program broke into the part-time rankings this year at #7. Welcome aboard, you Barristers. And thank God for the blogs. Comprehensive analysis of winners and losers took all of about 36 seconds. It's here!
I'm really enjoying navigating this site. You should also check out Law Riot. If your a prospective, current or past law student you might really like what you see, and get some use out of the content as well. www.LawRiot.com.
