By now, everyone knows that Ken Starr is hitting the road, headed to Waco, Texas this summer. Pepperdine University has now named Professor Thomas Bost as interim dean, serving until a permanent dean is selected. Bost has a somewhat unusual biography for a law professor. He graduated from Abilene Christian in 1964 and Vanderbilt Law in 1967. He joined Latham and Watkins after law school and was a partner there from 1975 to 1999. He served as a member of Pepperdine's Board of Regents starting in 1974, and was its chairman from 1980 to 2000. After retiring from Latham, and leaving the Board, he joined the Pepperdine law faculty in 2000.
