Today's question, courtesy of Lance McMillian:
Identify the following movies based on their taglines:
(1) "The Truth Can Be Adjusted"
(2) "In the heart of the nation's capital, in a courthouse of the U.S.
government, one man will stop at nothing to keep his honor, and one will
stop at nothing to find the truth."
(3) "He thought he had the world by the tail -- till it exploded in his
face, with a bullet attached"
(4) "He's a District Attorney. He will risk his life, the lives of his
family, everything he holds dear for the one thing he holds sacred ...
the truth"
(5) "On the other side of drinks, dinner and a one night stand, lies a
terrifying love story"
Two hints: Each of these films was nominated for Best Picture and each
feature a lawyer as the protagonist.
Pictured: 12 Angry Men, a Best Picture nominee (1957). Tag line: Life Is In Their Hands -- Death Is On Their Minds!"

That's a tough one. I'll guess "All the King's Men" (late 40's).

The late forties were at the tail end of the "film noir" era, and #3 had that ring to it, in contrast to the other quotes. Although "All the King's Men" is not really a noir film, it does have that fast-talking forties feel. Great question.
