Susan Poser was named the new dean of the University of Nebraska College of Law. Poser, who has a BA from Swarthmore, a JD from Berkeley, and a Ph.D out of Berkeley's Jurisprudence and Social Policy Program, is a Nebraska faculty member and was serving as chief of staff to the university's chancellor. She joined the College's faculty in 1999. This was a bit of an unusual search because it featured two internal candidates as finalists.
I wonder whether if she is the first JSP graduate to obtain a law school deanship?
Congratulations to Dean Poser and to the UNL students, faculty, and alumni. This is very exciting news!
