Willing To Move? A Rare Dean Opening At Qatar Law

Good news for those of you looking to move into academic administration.  The deanship has opened at the Qatar University College of Law.  The posting is here.   Everyone knows that it's impossible to find a good academic job - to say nothing of a good law dean position - in the highly populated Northeast and Western corridors.  I always tell people: the key is to be near a good airport with direct connections to New York.  On that standard, Doha International succeeds.  A nonstop leaves for JFK each morning.  The Doha International flight schedule also optimistically lists daily flights to Mobile, Alabama; Norfolk, Virginia; and of course, Pounds Field in Tyler Texas.  Sure, you have to connect.  But if you got a job as dean of UCLA, you'd have to connect to Mobile, Norfolk, and Mobile anyway.
