Been meaning to post some pictures of the Athens, Georgia cemetery where Thomas Cobb is buried (Oconee Hill). Here's a picture of the monument to Thomas Cobb in the Cobb family plot. And below I've posted a close-up of the column, which has details on the lives of several generations of the Cobb family who are buried in this plot. I took these when I was down in Athens last August for a conference at the Thomas Cobb house.
And I also have a picture of an antebellum mausoleum--dedicated to an officer who died in the Mexican-American war. You may recall we've spoken recently of the Mexican-American War Memorial on the South Carolina capitol grounds.
