The Conglomerate is holding its inaugural masters forum, coinciding with tomorrow’s Supreme Court oral arguments in Jones v. Harris. The Forum will feature commentary from several guest posters, including yours truly. The always ahead-of-schedule Larry Ribstein has already gotten the ball rolling.
The SCOUS Wiki has everything you need to get up to speed on the case, and Usha Rodrigues has a short and sweet post on Jones v. Harris and the Easterbrook-Posner disagreement. Morningstar has also posted a summary/preview of the case, including this video of a discussion featuring John Coates of Harvard Law School (who supports the respondents as an amicus) and William Birdthistle of Chicago-Kent Law School (who supports the petitioners). Both Coates and Birthistle do an excellent job, I think, and the video is worth watching in its entirety.
I’ll cross-post my entry here, but of course you should head over to the Glom periodically over the next few days to read all the activity, including anticipated live-blogging of the oral argument by Birdthistle.
