Late last month, North Carolina State Senator Andrew Brock, State Representative Brian Holloway, and Raleigh businessman Will Head launched WakeUpAmerica.com, with the goal of “tak[ing] on MoveOn.org and the radical socialists attacking America.”
On Monday, this image graced their homepage:
Once your eyes get past the image, direct them to the story itself, which describes America as the victim of a "bloodless coup" by followers of Karl Marx who control the banks and everyone's money, led by a man who is a "Bernie Madoff ... with the power of the presidency at his disposal."
Somehow this all feels so familiar: using a Star of David to assail "a cold-blooded gang" for "the takeover of an entire nation" by the hate-GermanyAmerica crowd. Where have I seen this before?
Congratulations, WakeUpAmerica.com. You've woken me right up!

UPDATE: The photo has been taken down from the linked page, so some readers are inquiring whether it was ever there in the first place. Yes, it was, according to Laura Leslie, the NPR reporter who covers North Carolina state politics and who first caught the posting and the picture. That's a screenshot of the page before they took the photo down.
It's worth noting, though, that even without the photo, the text is pretty transparently anti-Semitic.
It appears that the picture is gone now?

Yeah. I just want to make sure that the picture was really there before I start blasting off in my head.
So, was it really there, or is this something you added?
