The November issue of SmartMoney Magazine profiles the "power 30," a list of powerful and influential movers and shakers. The list breaks down into five categories: government, finance and Wall Street, real estate, industry, and health and medicine. Making the "government" list is Harvard law prof Elizabeth Warren (pictured), in her capacity as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel (see our previous related posts here and here). Her profile suggests that some of her proposals "have drawn fire from almost anyone with an interest
in maintaining the status quo." Warren's response?
"I'm not an insider, and I don't need another job," she says, a not-so-thinly veiled shot at what she sees as the revolving door between public office and private industry. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to raise the issues that I think are important, regardless of who wants to ignore them."
The full list is available here.
The magazine has brilliant ideas on how to make smart money.
I purchased it using the new MYPLASH CARD.
