A big shout-out to the faculty, staff, students, and friends of South Texas College of Law who joined together over the weekend to raise over $6,000 in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The team ("Motion to Quash") included over 160 participants.
I hope readers will share other stories about teams from law firms, law schools, houses of worship, civic organizations, etc., that have participated in recent Race for the Cure events.
And as someone with a family member who met breast cancer head-on earlier this year, permit me to express my personal and sincere thanks to participants and contributors everywhere.
Tim ... do you want also shout out to the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University for riding last weekend in the City to Shore MS150 bike ride..did you know that the dynamic EMSOL at DU law dean rode all 154+ miles and added $2500+ to his team's outstanding totals? did you know that contributions are still being accepted?

Dean Dennis: yes, indeed, you and the other riders deserve a big "shout out." Biking 150-plus miles? Wow! Our "local" MS-150 ride runs between Houston and Austin. Here's a link, if you're looking for some physical exercise in April 2010:
