The New York Times has a story about Michelle Obama's great, great, great grandmother, Malvinia Shields (an enslaved person) here. Most exciting for me--and I suspect for most law professors and legal historians? Jason Gillmer's quoted in it!
But running a close second for me is that there's talk in the article of an antebellum will. And running a close third to that, there's talk of a neglected cemetery!
