The President foresees a World Series match-up between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees.
Some of our readers may remember that the two teams last did battle in the Fall Classic in 1964. For a wonderful book that chronicles that baseball season, with a focus on the decline of the Yankees dynasty, the ascendancy of the Cardinals, and their march toward a thrilling seven-game series, I highly recommend October 1964 by David Halberstam.
May history repeat itself! Go Cardinals!!!
The Cardinals have the pitching and sufficient offense to beat the Dodgers or Phillies, but in the AL Boston has the pitching to edge the Yanks. A Boston-St Louis series, which will end as in 2004, though not in a sweep for the Sox.

Calvin, I don't mind a match-up with the Sox, but I'd prefer a result similar to that of 1967!
