I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Lounge this month, and I am signing off with a small bit of trivia. Remember Barney Bush? Today is his ninth birthday. So, in dog years, he is a seasoned 63. I don’t know whether Barney roamed The White House, but I have known of colleagues who bring their well-behaved dogs to work. So, my parting question is, what types of pets have you seen roaming the halls of your law school? Again, thanks so much to everyone at The Lounge for having me.
From the headline, I thought this was going to be about the horrible purple dinosaur. What a relief to discover it's about a sweet lovable dog.

I have been known to bring my bichon frise to the office with me ...

Oh, and when this region lost power for days after a huge ice storm, our pet cockatiel called the law school home for 2 or 3 days.

Apparently, we used to have a prof in the early days who brought in some standard poodles. Repeated "gifts" in public places around the law school led to a No Pet policy!
We did rescue two kittens from the engine of the Director of Student Services' car last summer. Does that count?

I have not seen any pets at my current school, but when I was in the UK I used to bring my dog to the office and she would sleep on the couch. Did that until she started barking every time my neighbor left his office. He didn't complain (he would stop in and pet her), but I felt uncomfortable with the ruckus she was making.
