Foster Auditorium

The University of Alabama has announced plans to renovate Foster Auditorium (where Governor Wallace made his stand in the school house door) and return it to use as an athletic facility.   Here's a really fine article from the University of Alabama's newspaper, The Crimson White, about Foster's storied history--as a basketball arena, as well as a iconic place of the civil rights movement.  You never know where you'll see a discussion of Forrest Gump!
