Thanks to a pointer from a good friend of the faculty lounge, we learned this evening that John DiPippa, interim dean and Distinguished Professor of Law and Public Policy at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, has been named the eighth dean of the law school. Many congratulations to Dean DiPippa and to UALR's faculty and students.
Dean DiPippa graduated in 1978 from Washington and Lee, then practiced with the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, Virginia. He organized Washington & Lee’s first clinical program and taught in it for four years and joined the UALR faculty in 1983. He teaches Constitutional Law, Legal Profession, Law & Religion, Interviewing & Counseling, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has been interim dean since July 2008.
The UALR press release is here.
Of some interest here, Dean DiPippa's appointment is for two years.
