This morning's New York Times article on a reunion of nearly 1000 model T Fords scheduled for this weekend in Richmond, Indiana--and the multiple uses that owners put the Ford to--inspires a question: what was the role of the Model T in American legal development? Here's a great law review topic! Some enterprising student could write a very nice law review note for the law review; I imagine it could use Leah Green's The Erie Canal And the American Legal Imagination as a model.
Another question you may have is: why is there a reunion of Model T Fords this weekend? Well, Henry Ford started production on them back in September 1908--so this is their centennial.
All of this reminds me that I need to start collecting note topics for law review students, because I expect they'll be knocking on my door soon.
