Bernie -- You may not be aware but the Republican-led Justice Department, at the behest of the Republican President and the Republican Congress, is investigating various Republican allegations against Hillary and the Democrats. The Republican-led House Intelligence Committee has also been investigating. That is what is happening currently. Prior to the election, there were also all sorts of Republican Congressional-led investigations into everything Hillary. This was largely a game.

Sure, Trump is complaining that there are no prosecutions but that is because when these things get beyond Trump tweets and Republican talking points there is really nothing there.

Bernie: see what I mean?

"Neither the Special Counsel nor the SDNY US Attorney are Democrats. These are all Republican-run investigations."

Already attacking the integrity of these prosecutions, using false information to boot?

Take a look at the Special Counsel's team.

According to Politifact:

"Trump tweeted that Mueller’s team has "13 hardened Democrats, some big Crooked Hillary supporters, and Zero Republicans."

Mueller’s team does have 13 registered Democrats (of 17) and no registered Republicans, and several team members made donations to Clinton’s campaign in various amounts."

The other four members of the team have unknown political affiliations.

(Same with the lies being thrown around about Comey, btw. He said the other night in an interview that he hasn't considered himself a republican since 2012 and has changed his voter registration.)

Of course, Politifact bends over backwards to point out that the political affiliation of Democrats doesn't matter, because these folks swear an oath to abide by the law.

But, I guess that oath doesn't matter to a partisan leftist attacking supposed republicans. Such a partisan will simply smear the Mueller investigation as a "Republican led" investigation (based on Mueller's putative political affiliation and ignoring his integrity (depending on the outcome, of course) and move on.

This is a perfect example of the bubble in which so many in legal academia live. They operate on a day to day basis believing falsehoods to vindicate partisan claims.
