A tough one!

But I believe it's the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church in Mebane (Alamance County). The second photo is the Stainback Store. And Murrays are the family mentioned.

Yes, you're right, Owen! You're still the king of monuments/building trivia.

This is the church where the Murrays -- owners of Haley's ancestors during the late pre-Civil War era -- lived (after being sold from Caswell County). Alamance County is quite the beautiful place this time of year, which unfortunately doesn't come through in my photos. It was overcast the day I was up there. Though I have to say that wow was there a lot of violence in Alamance County. About that I'll have some more to say later in the summer I hope when I post my paper on William Saunders and the Klan in North Carolina in the 1860s and 1870s.
