My great-uncle Leo was deported to his death in Poland from Würzburg, Germany, on April 25, 1942.
It turns out that the Nazis commissioned a film of the deportation. The movie vanished after the war. I am desperate to find it (if it still exists). Crowd-sourcing and social media present a new and exciting way to try to locate historical materials like this.
I've created this little video asking for help. It's in German, but if you hit the "cc" button you'll see captions in English. If you know anyone in Germany -- or know anyone who knows anyone in Germany -- would you send this along and ask them to pass it along via Facebook or Twitter or whatever crazy medium the German kids are using these days?
Thank you for helping.
