I'm delighted to announce that Tera Hunter, Professor of History and African American Studies at Princeton University, will be delivering the 9th annual African American history month lecture here at UNC on February 21. Her talk is entitled "“‘Bound As Fast In Wedlock As A Slave Can Be’: African-American Marriage, Slavery, and Freedom." And she will be speaking in Wilson Library's Pleasants Family Room at 7 pm.
