"Colors of Confinement: Rare Kodachrome Photographs of Japanese American Incarceration in World War II" was published in August by the University of North Carolina Press in collaboration with the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. The Center for Documentary Studies produced this three-minute micro-documentary about the book. I think it does a nice job of capturing some of what's special about these rare color photos -- especially the bit at the very end when they transform an image from black-and-white to the original color.
