Newscorp (Fox) is just more honest than CNN or The New York Times. This story will die quickly.

I think the author is right -- whatever postures Fox makes about being "fair and balanced," the News Corp decision to fund the GOP takes the wind out of its sails. Sure, there's an undeniable ideological bent to the New York Times and MSNBC, but as far as I know, they have not made these kinds of contributions to the democratic party. I guess we're already starting to see the effects of Citizens United...
